Last night was a very exciting finish at Mile High Stadium with the Denver Broncos beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC wild-card playoff game on Sunday in what was an overtime thriller. The whole country is in love with Tim Tebow and the excellent performance that he had against the much fancied Steelers, but I feel the New England Patriots have nothing to worry about.
The Patriots offense with its diverse range of receivers that I mentioned earlier have too much firepower and I think Tom Brady and company should fancy their chances to pick up their first playoff victory after almost four years and move onto the AFC Championship . As for Tim Tebow and his magic, the Patriots showed their superiority by beating the Broncos at their home field during the regular season just 3 weeks ago.
Brady was at his best throwing 23 for 34 for 340 yards and 2 TDs. Tebow was actually on a hot streak going into the game, but the Patriots ended it and the Broncos went on a losing streak by getting blown out by the Buffalo Bills 40-14 and then a 7-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at home in their final game of the season.
But still one could not help but admire Tebow and especially the dramatic finish when he threw an awe-inspiring 80-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime. This went down in NFL history as the fastest ending to an overtime because the play lasted just 11 seconds. I guess the Patriots and the defense have something to watch out for along with Tom Brady who will have to keep his eye out for Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil.
